About

Built by an operator, not a guru.

Who I am

I am Ethan. I build and run faceless YouTube channels, and I write down what actually works. I am not interested in being a personality. The value here is the method. You should be able to read it, disagree with parts of it, and still use it to build something that works for you.

Why the anti-guru position

Most of this market sells access to tools or information. You pay monthly, you are promised a dream, but the actual method stays out of reach and the payments continue.

My position is simple: the method should be free.

Reading the method is the easy part. Actually building the workflow, using it repeatedly, fixing what breaks, and producing enough videos to get good at YouTube is the hard part. That is where the real work is.

So the guides are complete and free, the paid products are one-time purchases, and nothing I currently sell requires a BuildTuber subscription.

I also try to be realistic about what the YouTube journey looks like. You will not find much “make $10K in your first month” language here. Tools change absurdly fast. Something that felt essential eight months ago can already be obsolete. The underlying method lasts much longer, so that is what I try to teach.

What “own your stack” means

Three things have to be in your hands: the API keys you are billed on, the prompts that produce the work, and the logic that connects one step to the next. Hold all three and you own your production. If a platform controls those things for you, you are depending on that platform.

The practical payoff is cost. YouTube usually takes a lot of videos and a lot of failed experiments before you understand what works for your audience. If your production stack is cheap to run, you can keep testing without every upload feeling expensive.

That is the real reason I care about owning the stack. It gives you more runway.

How the guides are written

A few rules I try to follow when publishing here.

The full method is published
Every guide is free to read. I do not deliberately leave out an important step just to make the paid product necessary. If I sell a finished version of a workflow, the guide should still give you enough information to understand the method and build your own version.
If I have not tested something, I say so
I would rather leave a number blank than invent a convincing estimate. When a cost comes from an actual production run, I say that. When it is an estimate, I say that too.
No income promises
I do not predict what a channel will earn. A production system can lower your cost and help you publish more efficiently. It cannot guarantee views, monetization or revenue.

How I handle numbers

Provider prices come from the provider's published pricing when possible. Real workflow costs come from my own usage data where I have it. If something is an estimate or just my opinion after using a model, I label it that way.

The full methodology, including how cost figures are sourced and how pages are reviewed, is explained on the methodology page.

Where the money comes from

BuildTuber makes money by selling finished versions of some of the workflows I teach for free.

The products are one-time purchases and run on your own API keys. I do not make more money when you generate more scripts, images or videos.

That commercial relationship matters, especially when I recommend one of my own products, so I try to make it obvious when I am doing that.

You can read the full details on the disclosures page.
